OUR MISSION:

To create, produce, and provide socially and spiritually conscious theatrical productions that engage, enlighten, educate, and enable people to celebrate and transform themselves through art, while training and allowing African-American artists and technicians an opportunity to develop their craft at a professional level. 

 

OUR GOALS:

• To effect positive change and lift consciousness’ by providing plays that are spiritual and/or educational, and carry a message of heritage and/or hope;

• Enable people to celebrate and transform themselves through art;

• Ensure that African-American history, stories, and contributions are remembered and celebrated.

• Teach and allow local African-American artists and technicians an opportunity to train, and develop their craft at a professional level.

• Develop and maintain a professional, resident theater company.

• Develop and implement a youth performing arts training program whereby youth will be trained in the performing and technical aspects of theater arts, music, and dance.

• Develop and implement a "New Works" Division, thereby, giving voice to playwrights and their creations, allowing them an opportunity to develop their skills, and providing an arena where writers may have their work produced.
