PLAY SYNOPSIS

HALLELUJAH CITY is a mythical, musical place that runs parallel with earth, on another plane. It is a place where some go when they pass from this life, and others go to learn how to live. It is a place where dreams are made, lessons are learned, and all is not what it seems. A place filled with laughter, zany characters, heart wrenching truths, and lots and lots of SOUL.

Christian Alexander, who has lost his will to live, awakens and finds himself in HALLELUJAH CITY, without a clue as to how he got there. Recently and tragically widowed, Christian has been brought to this magical city to take a long, hard look at his life, and make some decisions about his future. His journey begins when he is paired with the sassy, outspoken, Big Red, a spirit guide with an attitude that has her own agenda, and wants nothing to do with him. It's all Christian can do to hold on for the ride of his life.

HALLELUJAH CITY, the new musical by the creators of EVANGELIZE (Lisa Lacy and Charles Cooper) will pull on the heart strings while leaving theater-goers singing and dancing in the isles as they embark on this journey with Christian and Big Red and all the other characters who live in this wonderfully, magical city.
