TICO WELLS, actor/director, is a 30 year veteran known for his work on stage, film, and television. He is most widely known as “Choirboy” from Robert Townsend’s film, The Five Heartbeats, which celebrated its twentieth anniversary in 2011. He has worked with some of the great actors of our time including Al Pacino, Lawrence Fishburne, Samuel L. Jackson, Denzel Washington, Bill Cosby, Loretta Devine, Tom Sizemore, Richard Gere, John Goodman, Bill Paxton, Linda Hunt, Ruby Dee, James Whitmore and many more. 

His T.V. and film credits include, The Cosby Show, 24, All of Us, Drew Carey, ER, JAG, Law and Order, Martin, Beverly Hills 90210, The Relic, Universal Soldier, The Five Heartbeats, to name a few.   Mr. Wells studied film directing at The American Film Institute. He received his BFA in Drama, from New York University. He currently teaches acting, in Los Angeles, where he is also a director, theater and film actor. His specialty is bringing out compelling performances in actors.
